Objective: Learn how to use Cookies to create a realistic light.

The lights that you bring into the scene are a solid light and don’t look to real. We can fix that with Cookies. Not the kind you eat. If we go to google and search Unity Light Cookies we can find some under Images.

I download the Lightcookies (Texture) and put it in the project.

Select the Texture and verify that Wrap Mode is set to Clamp.

Now on the Spot light, drag the cookie texture into the cookie slot under the light.

And with that our light looks more realistic!

That is why using light cookies textures help improve the look of our lights in Unity.

Thank you for reading and have a wonderful day!
