Pre and Post Extrapolation in Timeline

Objective: Cover Pre and Post Extrapolation

Pre and Post Extrapolation is what the animation track will do after it finishes. With the track selected, we can see Pre-Extrapolate and Post-Extrapolate.

By default they are set to Hold. This means when the track ends so does the animation. Even if the track isn’t the length of animation.

Loop will replay the animation until the next animation track is hit.

Ping Pong is similar to Loop. Continue is similar to Hold but It will finish it’s animation.

Depending on how each animation track are set in the timeline, making sure the correct Extrapolate setting will help with making cut scenes or animations look better. This is a quick guide on Extrapolate, thank you for reading and have a wonderful day!
